Can't start the game

Signed in, queued for a game, connected to game, picked hero, game was starting. The game client where you pick games etc. turns black but the game itself doesn't load. allofmywhys.jpg.

EDIT: I've tried restarting the game, but to no avail.

I am now like, 20 minutes into the game. The sheer fact that the game itself doesn't let me play it due to some issue will make it count like an afk/leave and I'll lose elo as well. Can anyone help me out here?

Hi!

I am very sorry to hear about this issue. This issue with black screens is usually caused by an overzealous firewall. You may have set your firewall settings before but due to patches and general changes to the game you may need to reset your firewall settings.

We have a detailed guide to configuring your Firewalls to work properly with League of Legends:

However, even when properly configured, the disabled modes or exceptions lists often do not function properly for 3rd party firewalls. It would be much quicker to temporarily uninstall your firewalls from your computer. This would allow me to quickly rule them out as a potential cause of the problem so I can get you back into the game faster.

If you're uncomfortable uninstalling your anti-virus and firewalls, I recommend replacing your current software with Avast, which is free for home use. It even has a disabled/gaming mode for getting the most out of your system while playing League of Legends.
