Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but a didn't know where to put it.

So Suggest around 5 Solo mid Champions I should try to learn.
I have played some mid the last few days and I want to learn around 5 In-debt

Don't suggest someone if it's only because they're easy.

I'm fine the skill-shots and I play on Smart-cast

Xerath
Mobile Artillery AP carry. Can adequately stand against most other AP carries. Might seem weak early, due to long cooldowns, but in late-game that problem disappears. Can both nuke-out or harass his opponent. Based on very long-range skillshots. Best "poker" in the LoL.

Swain
A wise choice for an offensive opponent. Have great sustain especially with Ultimate. Can passively farm or ocassionaly harass the enemy with his entire kit (innate passive allows that). Very good team-fight Bruiser. Based on DoT abilities.

Orianna
Good pick if you know how to handle her. She's rather fragile and people tend to abuse this. Some people believe she's underpowered, which is not the case. All her abilities are AoE and have relatively short Cooldowns. Her bright side is her Utility power - CC, shield and haste. She can spam these effects and deal damage at the same time. Her Ultimate synergizes hard with any other AoE available in the game. Archangel Staff is her heart's desire.

Mordekaiser
Very strong early-game champion. Sometimes he's played Top, but Mid suits him better because it's allows him to deny enemy farm with extreme cynicism and regenerate his health while your minions are dying under enemy turret. Natural pusher. Good counter to beefy fighters with his Ultimate. Played as Bruiser or AD/AP hybrid. Requires good timing and situation awareness. Don't have any CC, thus require to get it from his teammates or items.

Xerath
Get a good frontline up in teamfights and no one can touch you.
Outshined by recent high mobility champs but a really good staple AP carry.
In Lane, with good prediction, he has the fastest and least jukable skillshots at that range ever that can't be blocked by minions.
His LVL 6 damage is really nice too and his stun is hard to avoid.
his passive allows for a slight advantage in your favor when it comes to early game autoattack trading or simply a good old fashioned AD mid

Veigar
Counterpicking.
If you're up against a lane you can turn into a farmfest you will win.
Lategame you can basically oneshot the AD carry with QR because you will have 800-1000 AP and up.
His E is great in teamfights too as it is a massive stun.
you pick this champ for mid-lategame, don't expect early game dominance.

Kennen
Long range skillshot poke, stuns and AOE ulti.
really nice and safe champion to play due to his E escape.
Can also be played as AP top or AD carry so picking him early on poses fewer risks as with decent coordination you can force the opponent to attempt to counterpick you and then totally troll the opponent by taking a different lane.

Galio
If Xerath is a staple, then this guy is the [insert metaphor here]
Great for counterpicking certain heavy bursters or other common AP mids.
nice ability to push lane with abilities and pretty nice in teamfights.
Learn how to play him and have some fun against some "OP" mid laners.

AP Yi
THose 4 above are champions that you should have due to their ability to be the best champion in their fields of expertice (maybe not Xerath but he's good too).
This guy is just for raw fun.
a melee last hitter.
Wait until only 3 minions are remaining for a garantueed poke or do it earlier for a random chance at poking the enemy.
He can really deny certain AP mids if you're lucky and once you get the Yi train rolling in a teamfight (possibly with the help of lichbane and DFG) he has 2.0-5.0 AP scaling on an AOE ability.
He is very much an early-mid game champ though and quite easy to shut down or ignore in lane so not always a good pick.

Anivia

While she might seem weak at the beginning of early game, she posses stun (which might be tricky to master), is a great engager with her wall when placed right (CAUTION: you may also bring misery to your team unintentionally [or intentionally http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJAN1oDRJpk]. She's also a great kiter, with a variety of slows. So her mid-game and late game are very powerful, and once you get to lvl 6 and get a hang of Blue, you can easily dominate your lane opponent in the early game aswell.

Ziggs

While laning isn't really OP, he has some nice gank-escape abilities, but the most important, and irritating thing about him, is his ultimate, which you can cast freely on any lane you want, and therefore it makes you help your teammates out.

try zilean if u want somethin a little different. adds awesome utility to the team, and can do against common ap mid just fine. Rewarding champion. Very good damage early, but consumes a lot of mana. Just get blue and dominate

It all ends up on your play style, not on the champion, ofc some are better, but every champion can be played op, at least thats what i believe in.

Hm, i disagree with Xerath, there is an much better Poking AP mid, called Kog'Maw.
