Connection Timeout

When i log in a message comes up saying, Connection Timeout: The request to the PVP.net server timed out. When i try to go into a game it will bring up another message saying - There was an error processing a message from the server; this may be caused by a number of issues so it is recommended you restart your client. If it continues to occur please contact our player support team at support@riotgames.com with a description of the error and what you were doing at the time. when this happens i cannot see the champions in champion select or my runes or masteries or any of the summoners names. I have restarted the client a number of times and even tried reinstalling it and repairing it but nothing is working. Has anyone any ideas on what might be wrong?

This issue sounds like it's being caused by a problem with the connection between our servers and your network. We do have a handy knowledge base article that contains a lot of methods for improving your connection quality, which you can find here:

Thanks ill try that out asap but the thing is it was working fine for months and it has only recently started doing this. It started doing it when the new patch came out.

Well I got it since new patch came out, and many of my in-game friends got it aswell. Riot still does nothing to change it. I even reconfigured my Firewall and IDS system to allow all trafic from and to LoL application and still same issues happend. Many ppl 've also FPS issues since last patch but I gues RIOT just doesn't care.

I have the same issues.

try windows/run type cmd then at the console tracert pvp.net.

for some *unknown reason* I get "request timed out" after reaching a 38.*.*.* server.

I asked riot via a supp ticket but they didn't help.
does this happen to you too? cause it doesn't look it is just a small patch problem.

Prolly servers PVP.net server are configured to not anwear echo ping request. I 've no clue how to make LoL client work. Funny thing's in morning when trafic is low, everything works fine. But in the evening I can't even enter the game ;|

Having the same problem as well.I tried everything,however,I don't seem to be able to resolve the issue.I used to play normaly a few weeks ago.It's definately not a connection problem,taking into consideration the fact that the rest of the online games I play operate normally as always.Does the problem persist for you guys,or you've come up with a solution ? Please inform me with any news.

Same stuff here. For me these errors keep appearing and disappearing on their own pace. I also get denied access to everything in client after that message pops up. No shop, no profile, if i'm in que then the time will count indefinately (once i got patient and waited for about 3 hours before shutting this thing down). And after some time this just goes away. What to do?
BTW, I also submitted a ticket to support service and got nothing.
