Hey there.

I downloaded LoL earlier today and everytime i try to open it i get this message.

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\lol,launcher.exe

The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the program may solve the problem.

I'm running on windows xp and was wondering if there is a seperate download because when i go to download the game, theres a windows 7 symbol next to it.

Is there seperate download for XP?

I've tried to reinstall it and it still doesn't work. Help please D:

I have had this problem too. I'm not sure exactly what caused it, but I got around it by repeatedly trying to redownload/reinstal, making sure I had the latest Adobe Air, Flash, DirectX, etc etc, as outlined in this troubleshooting thread:

http://euw.leagueoflegends.com/board...d.php?t=274982

As it happens, I have had other problems with the game and still have not been able to get it to load fully, but this specific problem you have mentioned no longer happens to me, and it seems to be because I followed the steps in the toolbox...

Hopefully it will work properly for you.

lol.launcher.admin.exe is the one you want to run.
lol.launcher.exe always gives an error

Tried that, it also didn't work.

Maybe the download only works for Windows 7? :/

It should work fine on XP as far as i know.

Have you tried reinstalling the game to a new directory?

It means you install LoL into a different folder to your normal one. C drive is the directory most people install by default.
You could try installing somewhere else/creating a new folder to install into.
