Pretty self-explanatory. Her innate abilty lends towards her becoming a fairly potent semi-carry while retaining utility via her ult.

Kayle excels as both if you build cooldown reduction (Nashor's Tooth) and hybrid items (rageblade/hextech gunblade).
Your heal is on a short cooldown, passive boosts both AP and AD even more and your E will kill in teamfights. Her ult only scales off of cooldown reduction and with a Nashor's + masteries+runes you'll almost reach 40% already. Heal is on a short cooldown and with all the AP you'll heal for a lot, Q boosts is a slow and works also on cooldown redux.
So, by building cooldown redux and hybrid items you'll excel at both support and (semi-)carry

kayle can sure carry as hold a 2v1 lane pretty well.

damage output is crazy using your Q spell and smash away with E.

guinsoo's rageblade and hextech gunblade. I feel are the best items
nashors tooth is nice for the cooldown reduction. but doesnt offer the awesome damage you get from the blades.

im not high elo but I watch and learn from Alth0r streams on their website.

If anyone knows how to play kayle its definately him.

If you build him with Rageblade and Hextech you mainly use your ult and heal for yourself to carry. So Kayle is like a SemiCarry

Well, I did the maths. With Rageblade and Nashor's, Kayle is capable of exceeding Tristana and Yi in DPS and completely annihilates Ashe in DPS during the midgame. Unfortunately, the relative benefit of continuing on to getting Gunblade and Lich Bane is relatively small compared to fully-itemising Trist, Yi etc.

While Kayle´s damage might be less than Ashe, Kayle is able to heal and haste allies, as well as invulnerable someone. Also did you calculate in Kayle´s Q that improves damage to the debuffed target?

Sorry to say, but in high ELO games kayle is very rarely used.

But if you ever occasionally see her, semi carry support is definately the way to go.

try to use her passive + flame sweord to the maximum using hybrid items only. Nashors, guinsoos, gunblade etc

She gets very decent aoe dps aswell as the ability to semi-support with heal.

Sorry to say ??!? wat are you insinuating at , sounds a bid fishy

Look up the profile for alth0r he is currently nr 1 ranked 5vs5 , his most played champion is kayle.
his elo is 1875 in 5vs5 he's won 57 out of 110 ranked games with her thats 51.2% of his total ranked games using kayle.

no need to be sorry , kayle will probbly take no offence at your words , she knows how good she is and thats all that matters to her

he runs with the text book core kayle item build :
doreans ring
Berzerker boots
Rage blade
Gunblade

So its save to say that high elo people gear kayle as a carry, because support gear for kayle would not have hybrid items but rather go for a AP & Cooldown reduction build to get the most out of the heal and generaly have lower cooldowns on her slow spell and ulti.
The carry Build simply offers the best of both worlds more damage for less healing power conpaired to a AP build and a bid longer cooldowns but this makes kayle very versatile on the battlefeld like a true hybrid should be

I didnt say shes EVER used, im saying it is rare.
And in my own opinion, other people fits her champion slots alot better.

All this is unless you have some super awesome guy on your team that is able to carry every single game as an AD champion, and you can give him a few seconds to evaporate their team.

If not, shes meh. Not UP not OP.

But you asked about her in competitive gaming, its not that common.

as to the support-carry part. A pure support kayle easily becomes useless. If you play her as a hybrid she can dish out a very competent ammount of dmg and still support via her heal, and her none-ap scaling ulti.

So going pure support is kinda crappy, since it only helps one of her support spells out.
