I have no words to explain what I am feeling right now. On one hand I have a company that tells me it is not there fault and CANT FIX IT and now I HEAR THEY CAN but just not for my continent and only for European players.

You don't seem to understand it.. They can't fix it for you, the support answer you got is entirely correct. Do know that this is being done on a large scale that is also very time consuming. It's not even implemented in other regions yet, they're still working on it. Riot can't just contact your isp just because you have huge lag spikes. They have to consider a lot of other things before taking actions on a huge scale, and I am sorry to tell you this game isn't just about you.

Did I understand this right? Is Riot acquiring (building/buying/hiring?) it's own physical part of the internet, a backbone, to give us better connection? Not only in Europe either, but also in the USA?

An idea would be to make a special page like twitch or co-operate with twitch to use riots network to stream .
If I understood correctly this could make streming available to the majority of the players since nowadays in order to stream you need vdsl expensive connections or even worse optic fibers .
Just a question this service will be an extra on our connections fees to pay for ,or it will be available for free ?

Yes. For the people moaning about Africa. We'll also get the better connection, we'll just not be riding the Riot bandwitdh from the start, we'll just land on it in about London. (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d4/Cable_map18.svg)

Is this bad?

Edit: I think the first post didnt been posted before as I dont know forums is bugged a lot for me

Dude, you did post it but no one cared to answer.

So here i go: What you did was connect to the NA server, which is pretty useless assuming that you play on EUW. (That also explains why it shouws an average of 375ms)

What you have to do is replace that IP by the IP the EUW server uses. In my case i just used riot.de and it gave me an average of 35ms, which pretty accurately is my ingame ping. so i guess that that works for us EUW players.

What a diplomatic answer.

Avoiding my main question "why does Riot only cater for european players" (Knowing full well that they are not the only ones on EUW. Is Riot only catering for european players because it is easier or because it is lazy. Riot has made servers for Brazil , Oceania and LAN. Yet they cannot even make a server FOR ONE OF THE BIGGEST CONTINENTS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. Are they ignoring us or are they just being negligent. Millions of people play LOL yet Riot caters for everyone except Africa and players from countrys that are not "Major" (as in first world countries). I bet I will get another Diplomatic Answer , I can already predict it ("RIOT has no affiliations there", ISP's in Africa do not want to help etc.)Truth is their or threads about this and you don't answer these questions. Is RIOT afraid to tell the community that the only people your care about are the ones that originate from the country that produces the most money.

Can I please get a real answer to why you don't contact African ISP's or ANY OTHER ISP THAT IS NOT IN EUROPE. AS A BACKBONE. Cause we all know EUW is not just Europeans. Its other people too. Why RIOT SHOULD CARE ABOUT

South African here, You don't want an African server, there will be no competition, bronze EUW people will be in gold on the African server. It will suck.

You tracerouted to the device in front of our platform service in the US. It's not relevant, as PvP.net latency or ping does not matter at all. Important is your connection to our game servers, which are located in Europe. Please reach out to our PS team, they will be able to help you.

Well then.....
Thank you for your honesty you .

I don't how ever think you will make a server in SA but its ok. I have hope that one day Riot will make a server for my region (or anyone near us who has problems) but you can always dream.

Again thank you for your Honesty
