It's still the same and is unplayable as the ping has shot up to more than 300ms.im sure this is something from Riot's end and has to do something with the servers. Please please, can some Riot representative / wrenchman please reply. I don't want to quit this game after having invested so much time and money on this game for the past 3 years.

Hi Hippodotamus,

Try a few of these basic troubleshooting steps - it'll give us a clean connection to test with.

- Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in again to clear any active or hung connections
- Close any background programs that may be interfering with LoL (LoLReplay has been known to cause issues recently)
- If wireless, try wired
- If wired, try wireless (if possible)
- Try temporarily disabling your security software to see if it is any different - some security products can block connections. Even if they worked before please try this, Avast especially has been intermittently causing issues for users recently.

These are only basic steps - if issues persist after trying these steps, can you please try the following:

1) Run these two tests and link to the results:
http://pingtest.net
http://speedtest.net

2) [download WinMTR](http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/) and run a trace route to the following IP address:

> 192.64.170.252

Let the trace run for about 100 packets, then export your results as a text file and attach them to a post here.

Please do all the above tests after attempting the prior troubleshooting - this will give us as clean a result as possible :-)

all these steps are to check if there is any problem with the internet
but i m sure its not the net but the server which is the cause of such high ping
hope riot does something soon

I've done everything you've mentioned plenty of times before without any results. I've tried it again without any success. Also, i'm not running any antivirus programs.

Following are the details you've requested.
pingtest: http://www.pingtest.net/result/115124062.png
speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4069808052

I've attached the WinMRT file as well.
Do help please.

Hey Hippodotamus,

Your ping and speed tests look pretty good, but that WinMTR is very strange.

Can you try running a tracert to the same IP:

- Press Windows Key + R
- Type 'cmd' and hit enter
- Type 'tracert 192.64.170.252' and hit enter

Please post the results. Thanks!

I've had the same issue with ping for the past few weeks. Stable, then suddenly huge unplayable ping spikes. I managed to get a tracert just after one such game

Ping Test Result (http://www.pingtest.net/result/115244765.png)

I am from Turkey, i had 45 - 60 ping in League like 2 months ago but now it is never below 75 and usually in the range of 80 - 95. I used to use WTFast but after patch 5.1 i cannot use it. I started using WTFast 2 months ago because my ping got up to 80-95 from 45 - 60.

Edit: In LSI (http://leaguelsi.com/)my estimated ping shows 45 (i know it doesn't matter but i am just trying to give out all the information i can)
