So my friend took a break from LoL, now she wants to play again but she cant connect to pvp.net. She tried to reinstall three times, still the same error.

She has w7, had that since before she started playing so that shouldnt be an issue.. Any ideas or need further info? I'm pretty good with computers myself and I cant think of anything.

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps from the Wrenchman's Toolbox posts above?

So sad that people don't read the forums but just create a new topic >.<

ok we created a big threat about this.

First i would like to know:

Where are you guys comming from (country)?

What is his ISP (internet provider).

Second:

Windows 7 and Vista

1. Open the Start Menu
2. Open Control Panel
3. Select Network and Internet
4. Select Network and Sharing center
5. Select Change Adapter Settings on the navigation bar on the left
6. Right click on your network adapter and select properties
7. Select Internet Protocal Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and open Properties
8. Go to the bottom of the menu and change "Obtain DNS server address automatically," to "Use the following DNS server addresses:"
9. Put in the following public DNS servers, one in each empty field:
4.2.2.2
4.2.2.3
10. Save your changes by selecting Ok

thnx to tommos.

Still Riot need to look at this problem!
If this doesn't work for you, try the following numbers in step 9:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Or use these numbers (this is the best Public DNS at this moment):
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Finally: keep an eye at this topic (stay tuned on it):

We're from the Netherlands, I'll find out the ISP tomorrow.

Actually, she's been having this problem for quite a while now, and I've been searching the internet (not just this forum) for a solution whenever I was bored. After a long, inconclusive time I've decided to post.. I'll come back with answers tomorrow late afternoon.

i got a easy fix:

1. Start
2. Typ "Services"
3. Stop "Iphelper"

Or maybe it's your firewall:

1. add league to your firwall firewall
