Heya all,

For over a month now my client repeatedly goes ape**** on me. Basically, every 10-15 seconds, it disconnects from chat and reconnects a few seconds later. This is not so bad, but it seems like my client looses the connection to the server entirely for 2-3 seconds. This causes champion select to not load at all or to be bugged severely, or to cause unintended leaves ("Session closed" and so on).

Router setup is as transparent as possible (no firewall, DMZ setup). No antivirus on computer, firewall disabled. I tried pinging google for 15 minutes, had NO packet loss. The only thing that there is, is high jitter. This is because the connection is shared, so ping drops are common. But in game it's fine. It's just the air client that goes completely nuts.

Any ideas on what to do? The instability is so severe that I really can't reliably start a game.

Using firebind.com I tested the required LoL ports taken from here: http://support.leagueoflegends.com/e...-network-ports . Results:

80,443 passed.
2099,5222,5223 pased.
I can't test 5000-5500 at once, so I tested 5000-5099 passed and 5400-5499 also passed.
8393 to 8400 also passed.

I've decided to try my luck on the US forums. A wrenchman named Eambo is assisting me there, read up on it here: http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board...d.php?t=610036 . So far we've discovered nothing new.

Switching to a wired connection hasn't helped.

FIXES

OK, since some people here have managed to get their problem fixed, I will outline a few here.

Apparently, some software firewalls cause problems for LoL, disable them and see if it works. Also, disable the Windows firewall and see if it helps.

Also, adding a DMZ setup on the router seems to help some people.

Uninstalling Pando Media Booster helps some people, too.

By large, the problem still remains unsolved for many people.

So its not a connection related issue I guess.

It is a problem since I have a new (gaming) notebook.
So I guess that can be part of the problem?
