Summoners,

Starting next week our datacentre internet provider is planning to perform a series of 6 network maintenances affecting our Frankfurt datacentre. The goal of these maintenances is to expand the bandwidth capacity for ISP peers coming into our datacentre and other network points various areas of the European/Turkish and Russian network. This will help to make our network service more stable and allow more traffic to flow at any given time (less lag). Our partner will be running these maintenances during the designated off-peak time frames, between 01:00am and 05:00am GMT on week days.

Player impact: You might observe brief network interruptions that look like lag or potentially a disconnect twice during each maintenance: when the works start and they switch into the backup network traffic route and when they end and we’re moved back into the main line. Your games might be impacted by brief reconnects around 01.00 and 05.00am. EUW/EUNE/TR/RU platforms will be up and running at all times but in order to keep solid sportsmanship in our games we’ll disable ranked games around these times. Please note the times are subject to change as the maintenance times are approximations.

Schedule of disabling ranked queues:

Tuesday, 29.10.2013, 00.00 – 01.15am and 04.00 – 05.15am GMT
Monday, 04.11.2013, 00.00 – 01.15am and 04.00 – 05.15am GMT
Tuesday, 05.11.2013, 00.00 – 01.15am and 04.00 – 05.15am GMT
Monday, 11.11.2013, 00.00 – 01.15am and 04.00 – 05.15am GMT
Tuesday, 12. 11.2013, 00.00 – 01.15am and 04.00 – 05.15am GMT
Wednesday, 13.11.2013, 00.00 – 01.15am and 04.00 – 05.15am GMT

Thanks for understanding,
tmx

Inb4 people wont see this and they will still cry on forum when they get lag or dc'd from ranked during that time.

Are you able to provide us with numbers on how large bandwidth the Frankfurt center will have after the maintenances are done?

2620 GBPS is it's last updated Value. It is not just for League of Legends but for Internet in General that has to pass in that Region.

It is called: DE-CIX

And was last updated on the 24th of October 2013.

Considering Amsterdam's (AMS-IX) Is about to hit 2.6k GBPS and where is the new data center for EUW is going to be built, do consider a Increase to 2.7-3 GBPS in that next major upgrade from the Germans.

Do note that DE-CIX is the biggest Eastern and Central Europe controller.

We will be changed in the future to Amsterdam's which is more Western Europe directed, And closer to the UK's (3rd Biggest World Wide) Data Center.

Hope this is not against the Rules to post the official link's this is common data and is released by the providers themselves.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...points_by_size

Full list of all Exchange Points. And the Link's as I do not wish to spam link's of all Data Center's each can check out for themselves.

Also note a lot of hidden info exist's in such, and this is data may not be 100% accurate, for obvious reason's no company will admit its true limit or release its full information or else it would be easy to shut down most of the internet as we know it.
